Laws, Regulations, and Policies
The Lincoln Public Schools acts in accordance with state (Chapter 766 of the Acts of 1972) and federal laws (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 known as IDEA), regulations and policies. Under these laws, all eligible children with disabilities are provided with a free appropriate public education (FAPE) through the process of identification, evaluation, eligibility determination, Individualized Educational Program (IEP) development and re-evaluation.
