"Through learning language, we learn about culture.
Through learning about culture, we learn respect for others.
Through learning respect for others, we can hope for peace."From Helena Curtain’s “Learning Language Through Context
The Lincoln Public Schools offer a Foreign Language in Elementary School (FLES) program in grades 3, 4, and 5. Students are involved in short segments of learning Spanish once a week. Students on the Hanscom campus continue their Spanish learning in grades 6, 7, and 8. On the Lincoln campus, students choose to take French or to continue on with Spanish. On both campuses, in grades 6-8, language is an academic and meets everyday.
