Hello Lincoln K-4 Families!
What an amazing Walk, Bike and Roll week! Congratulations to all the students who rode bikes, scooters and even roller skates to school; those who walked from home or the WBR bus stop at the end of Ballfield Road; and those who like myself, walked from the parking lot to the entrance - you did it! I was very grateful to see everyone exercise caution and give attention to the safety of everyone on campus. Students are welcome to WBR any time - with parent permission, of course! A huge thank you to the Lincoln Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and all the volunteers who monitored the intersections, led bike trains and handed out the WBR bracelets!
Congratulations to the Rainbow Club, middle school SAGA and LPS Step Team on their participation in the Loud and Proud Pride event last Thursday! It was awesome to see the joy in the Learning Commons as the Lincoln School group prepared to walk to Lincoln Station. Many thanks to the parent volunteers and staff support!
You may have read Superintendent Graham's Bi-Weekly message about the end-of-year reports that Principal's are presenting at the School Committee meeting next Thursday. Click here to see the updated K-4 School Improvement Plan which includes a "Progress Update" column. One of our goals this year was to strengthen our partnership with caregivers through clear and consistent communication, and opportunities to participate in classrooms and/or the school community. We'd like your feedback and hope you will take some time to complete this Family Feedback Survey. Please complete one survey for each child if you have more than one attending Lincoln K-4. The survey will be open through June 1st.

2nd Grade Concert
What: "Music is Everywhere!" by the 2nd grade students
What...should students wear? Anything they feel confident and comfortable in - and ok seeing the outfit in a picture later!
When: June 6th @ 2:15pm
Where: Donaldson Auditorium
Where... Do I park? You can park in the lot outside the Reed Gym entrance if you're able to find a spot! Anywhere you see a spot is fair game, leaving handicap spots open for those who require them.
Please come in through the "Connector" door near the Reed Gym. Look for the red and silver balloons! Sign in on the clipboard when you arrive
How (long)? The concert will be approximately 20 minutes.
How... Do I dismiss my student from the concert? You can sign your child out with their classroom teacher at the end of the show. I will give directions at the end of the concert to let you know how to locate your student's teacher in the auditorium. They will have a clipboard waiting for you. PLEASE do sign out if you are taking your child home directly after the show so we know they got home safe!

Volunteer to Compost!
It's not too late to support the composting program at the Lincoln School! See the volunteer training information below and sign up here! A reminder that you need an up-to-date CORI on file. Come to the main office during school hours to complete the CORI form - it's good for 3 years.

8th Grade Car Wash Fundraiser – now May 18th!
Due to weather, the 8th grade car wash will now be on Sunday, May 18, from 9AM-3PM at Town Hall. Please come support our amazing 8th graders and get your car sparkling clean! All proceeds will help fund end-of-year promotion activities and celebrations. You can sign up online in advance or simply drive up and pay on the day of the event—donations are welcome! Thank you for supporting our LPS students!

Field Day is coming up on Friday, May 30th! The Wellness Team is looking for parent volunteers to help monitor stations. If you are able to help, please fill out this VOLUNTEER FORM We will be doing a lottery system this year for volunteers. If you have any questions please contact Danny Trask, 3-4 Wellness Specialist at dtrask@lincnet.org **You do need a CORI form (good for 3 years) on file with the Lincoln Public Schools if you plan on helping out - CORI forms can be filled out at the front office with Lauren Fitzpatrick during school hours. You will need to bring your license with you.

I'm writing with a few updates on activities and registration.Registration for the 2025-2026 School YearPlease go to the Lincoln School K-4 Website or the LPS District Website to find the 2025-2026 registration link.Lincoln Preschool FamiliesA reminder that children who attend Lincoln Preschool are already registered with the Lincoln Public Schools and do not need to register again. We do, however, ask that Lincoln Preschool families complete the intent to enroll form to confirm that your child is coming in the fall!Kindergarten InformationThis year we are going to share a video about the Lincoln School and our kindergarten program. We will email the video directly to you and post it on our website!Kindergarten OrientationRising kindergartners and their parent(s)/caregiver(s) are invited to come to school on Thursday, June 5th during the school day for Kindergarten Orientation! The children will go to one of the kindergarten classrooms where current kindergarten students will be student leaders. This teacher will be your child’s orientation day teacher but will not necessarily be your child’s teacher in the fall. Please complete this Orientation Google Form Sign Up to select your first and second choice times to come for orientation: 8:30, 10:30 or 1:00. Fun Games and "Fort" Nite at the Library
Monday, May 12 from 6-8pm
Celebrate Screen-Free Week at the library! Drop in anytime between 6:00–8:00 PM for a cozy evening of unplugged fun at the library! Families are invited to build blanket forts, play board games, and snuggle up with a good book. Pajamas are encouraged—bring your clean sheets or blankets to create your forts! We'll provide a variety of games, but you're welcome to bring your favorites, along with a stuffed animal and a flashlight for extra coziness! All ages are welcome. No registration required. This program is in partnership with LincolnWait.com
Families are also encouraged to participate in our Family Reading Adventure! For the week of 5/12 - 5/18, we invite families to read together every night—whether it's a picture book, chapter book, or anything that sparks imagination! Choose your favorite books, read them together, and track your progress with our simple challenge form. At the end of the week, families who complete the challenge will earn a small prize as a reward for their dedication to quality time and screen-free fun. Saturday Math Fun with Christine!
Saturdays, May 31, June 7, and June 14 from 2:00 - 2:45pm
Come listen to a math book read-aloud with a related activity and try out some fun math games! Get ideas for math at home. No registration necessary. Intended for children ages 3-6 with a caregiver. This is part of a three series workshop - attend one, two, or all three sessions.
Christine Size is a Lincoln parent who has spent the past 25 years in elementary education as a fifth grade teacher, pre-K teacher, math coach, and math coordinator. She has Master's degrees in Learning & the Brain and Early Childhood Education. Christine loves doing fun math at home with her son and wants to share it with you!
