Lincoln After School Music Program
The Lincoln (LASMP) After School Music Program was established to enhance and expand the role music plays in the lives of the students of our school district. This year all offerings will be in person and take place after school. A staff, made up of highly talented and nurturing professional musicians, teaches beginners and advanced students at both the Lincoln and Hanscom campuses during the academic year. Individual lessons are offered in woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, guitar, voice and piano.
The program flyer with cost and registration information is posted below, and is also available in the Lincoln school offices. The program is overseen by the Office of the Superintendent of Lincoln Public Schools and is directed and managed by Blake Siskavich LASMP@lincnet.org of the Lincoln Public Schools Music Faculty.

Instrument Lessons Grades 4th through 8th
Beginner Group Lessons: Students are offered the opportunity to begin their study of an ensemble instrument in a small group setting after school. Instruments offered in group lessons include: woodwinds: (flute, clarinet, saxophone,) percussion (drums), brass: (trumpet, trombone), strings: (violin and viola). Classes are taught by qualified instrumental instructors who specialize in a particular instrument or instrument family. For example, children who study clarinet and saxophone might be grouped together in one class, while trumpets and trombones might be grouped together in one class. Numbers will vary according to the response; classes will not be formed unless a minimum of 3 students enroll for a particular instrument. Other than any instrument rental fees (see list of area vendors), there is no charge for these sessions. Students who have already taken our beginner group lessons are expected to move on to private lessons through LASMP after one school year and are unable to continue in the beginner group lessons.
