Fastt Math is a software program used to practice basic facts. The goal of the program is to help students develop fluency with basic math facts. FASTT Math automatically differentiates instruction based on each student"s individual fluency levels in customized, 10-minute daily sessions. This practice will give students a solid foundation for more complex mathematical skills and concepts.
Most students are exposed to Fastt Math in second grade. Students are quizzed to determine which facts were "fast facts" (facts that a student responds correctly in less than a second) and which were "study facts" (facts that a student responds to slowly, or incorrectly).
The program provides practice that covers basic 0-9 and 0-12 addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts. It provides students with extra practice on small groups of facts called "focus facts" to help them develop automatic recall of facts quickly. The program assesses each student"s progress on a continuous basis.
