A woman with blonde hair and glasses smiles in a library setting.Hi! I'm Gwen Blumberg. I've been a part of the Lincoln Public Schools since 2009 when I joined the Lincoln School as a literacy specialist/coach. I then served as the District's Literacy Content Specialist from 2016-2024 before becoming the Lincoln School Librarian in the fall of 2024.

I am certified in MA through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as a 1-6 Elementary Teacher, K-12 Reading Teacher, and K-12 Library Teacher.

Before coming to Lincoln, I was a classroom teacher (grades 4, 5, 1), an adjunct professor, and a student teaching supervisor. Throughout all of my roles, I've always been passionate about connecting kids with books and empowering them to create, consume, and share stories to help them understand themselves and their world. I feel so fortunate to be the Lincoln School librarian and spend my days in our beautiful library surrounded by books and our amazing students. This is truly the BEST job in the entire school!

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cat, and our college-aged son when he is home— on a city adventure looking for street art or visiting a farmer's market, tending my honeybees, or playing roller derby... and, of course, READING!

Lincoln School Library Mission Statement

Our library is the heart of our school community. All children, educators, caregivers, and community members are welcome to read, research, explore, create, collaborate, play and experience the fellowship and joy of learning in this space. Our library strives to reflect the shared and unique values and identities of every member of our community and uplift the voices of those who have been historically silenced or marginalized in the past. Our physical and digital collections and the ways we use this space will continually evolve and change to reflect the dynamic nature of our community and those within it. Our library is a place that provides ongoing opportunities to learn about our world, ourselves, and others.
