One breakfast and one lunch is free every day for all students.

Lunch - Your students will need to order their lunch in the classroom every day in the morning. The teacher will send the lunch order to the cafeteria. Your student will enter their five-digit ID number at the register. 

Computerized Lunch Sales System   

The Lincoln School Food Services program has implemented the NUTRIKIDS® electronic lunch sales system to increase the level of service and provide accurate school meal accounts. The electronic system replaces the old ticket system with computerized meal accounts accessed through secure PIN numbers. Separate milk purchases and any a la carte purchases will be included and processed on this system as well. The Lincoln Schools Food Service is pleased to provide parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service through a website called MySchoolBucks. This service allows parents to deposit money into your child’s school meal account online at any time, and provides the ability to view your child’s account balance. We strongly recommend parents/guardians to deposit money into the student’s account via MySchoolBucks.com. Parents may also send a check payable to the “Town of Lincoln.”By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find the lunch lines move along much faster so your child has more time to eat and be with friends. In addition, parents will have the ability to print out a copy of their child’s eating history report. This history report will show you all the dates and times that your child has purchased a lunch or any other items within the past thirty days. Breakfast and Lunch are free this school year.  Students are entitled to one free breakfast and one free lunch a day.

Please contact the school office for additional free and reduced meal application forms. The Nutrikids computerized POS system will also handle the accounting for the free and reduced lunches. If your child has qualified for free or reduced meal prices, this information is noted in the system, and the meal will be processed just as it is for all other students without any overt identification. Parents/guardians will be able to deposit money into the student’s account for a la carte items via MyNutrikids.com.

Requires the lunch staff to prepare complete menus offering all five-(5) meal components (Protein, Grain, Fruit, Vegetable & Milk). Students are encouraged to take the complete meal for optimal nutritional value, but may decline one - (1) or two – (2) components if they choose. A minimum of three - (3) meal components must be served in order to qualify as a school lunch - one of those items must be a fruit or vegetable. Dessert does not qualify as a component.

School meals are able to serve brand-named foods. While the brand name may be recognizable to students, the product formula is different to what is sold in stores. All products must be whole grain; have a certain amount of sugar, salt and fat per serving.

Some menu items are naturally GF. For specific options please reach out to Kelly Haley.  A doctor's note must be on file with your child's school nurse.

We handle allergy cases specifically per child. Please reach out to Kelly Haley and the school nursing staff as we work in a team to try to best accommodate your child.

A full meal consists of:   Protein, Grain, Milk, Vegetable and Fruit  

Students need to take 3 items. One MUST be a fruit or vegetable.  

Students must take a full meal in order to receive free or reduced prices of meals. Milk cannot solely be purchased at a free or reduced price; it must be taken with a meal. If milk is the only item taken, it will be charged against the students' account.

We offer a variety of delicious lunch options each day, ranging from hot entrées, sandwiches, salads and fruit and veggies. All meals come with milk, fruit, grain, protein and vegetables.  Students are entitled to one (1) free lunch per day. Lunches are ordered each morning in the classroom. Please review the menu options the night before with your child so that household nutrition and dietary expectations are understood, including any a la carte selections.  Menus are published before each month and can be found HERE..

We recommend online payments. Checks are an accepted form of payment. Please make checks payable to Lincoln Food Service.

We encourage parents to enroll online enroll online MySchoolBucks.com to monitor student meal accounts. It is FREE to join.

Fruit is mandatory at lunch and no more than half of our fruit offerings can be juice. This means that juice cannot be served more than fresh fruit. The juice serving size is a 4 ounce carton of 100% fruit juice. Juice is only one offering along with milk.  Milk served is either skim chocolate, skim white or 1% white milk. Lactaid milk is available for students with a milk allergy and a Medical Modification Statement on file.

Yes, fruits and vegetables are locally sourced whenever possible. We are always looking for financially feasible ways to increase this.

No child can be refused a meal, regardless if they have money in their account or not. Unfortunately, meal accounts cannot be closed. A note can be put on your child's account stating not to let them charge for second meals and/or a la carte items, which will be indicated to the cashier at the time of purchase.  It is free to have an account on My SchoolBucks. This is a good tool to monitor what your student is eating.

What is the price for lunch?

For the school year 2023-2024 we are very grateful to the state of Massachusetts for free meals for all.

How can I add money to my child's lunch account?

Payments can be made online at myschoolbucks.com - student ID will be needed for registration.

Checks can be sent into your child's school cafeteria OR mailed to ATTN Foodservice 6 Ballfield Rd Lincoln, Ma 01773. Checks can be made payable to Lincoln Foodservice. Please indicate your child's name or student ID on the bottom of the check.

Cash can be sent into your child's school cafeteria.

A meal application can be completed online or one can be printed (found on the homepage of the foodservice website). Once completed, it can be mailed directly to ATTN Foodservice at 6 Ballfield Rd or sent in with your child to school.

Only one application is needed per family. A new application must be submitted EVERY school year. Applications can be completed at any time during the school year- in case circumstances have changed for yourself or your family.

Free/Reduced Lunch forms are sent to all families in the district by e-mail before the start of school. Additional forms are available through the school office and on the Family Document Center.

Are you wondering why we are asking for families to fill out meal applications even when ALL students are receiving FREE meals? 

This is because by filling out the meal application form, we are able to potentially offer many additional benefits to families.  

It may be necessary for the Food Service Department to share information with other school departments in order for you to receive these additional benefits. In order for us to share your information between departments, the USDA requires that you please fill out and return the LINCOLN SHARING FORM.
