Family Update

October 16, 2026

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful New England fall weather. I want to extend a sincere thank you to our team for organizing the Winter Clothing Swap—it came just in time, as it looks like it will be a bit brisk this weekend!

Parent-teacher conferences begin at the end of the month on Wednesday, October 28th. Teachers have been sending out sign-ups through ParentSquare, and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher(s).

Enjoy the weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday!

Warm Regards,
Mr. Ledebuhr

Please make sure the back of each photo is clearly labeled with the student's name and the name of the loved one so that all pictures can be safely preserved and returned following the event.

Story Talk Series Grades K and 1st

Wednesdays Oct 21, Nov 18, Dec 16 at 2pm

Join us for a three-part storytime series for students in kindergarten and first grade and their grown-ups, built around resilience and growth mindset.   Led by lifelong Lincoln resident Greer Harnden, a Master of Education and former classroom teacher whose classroom experience centered on social-emotional learning.

Come to one or all three: Wednesdays at 2:00, October 21, November 18, and December 16.

Register for each program you plan to attend.

Every child faces moments that feel too big, too hard, or too scary to try again: a frustration, a fall, a friend who doesn't understand .Together we'll read and talk through stories of falling down and getting back up, feeling different and shining anyway, and turning "I can't" into "I can't yet," with drawing activities woven throughout to help kids process and express what these moments feel like for them. Grown-ups will walk away with real language to reach for the next time your child hits a wall, a fall, or a hard "no I can't" — and every family will leave feeling a little more equipped, a little more connected, and a little more resilient together.
