  • Thursday, Sept. 17: Back to School Night, 6:00-7:30 (Auditorium starting point)
  • Sept. 21: No School (Yom Kippur)
  • Sept. 22: Afterschool activities begin (Bentley-run and staff-run); Lincoln K-4 Back to School Night

What's Going On About Our Building

Afterschool Activity SignUps, Due Sept. 16

We have a series of afterschool activity options for students in grades 5-8 (and a few for students in grades 1-4). 

Please complete the Lincoln School 5-8 Afterschool Activity form for each child you have that plans to participate in an activity. 

Some will be led by school staff, some by Bentley University students, and some by Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School students. 

We hope every student finds something for them to engage with outside the school day. 
 

Lincoln Cup Captains Applications, Due Sept. 16

Students in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to apply to be captains and assistant captains for their Lincoln Cup teams. 

Applications are due Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 5:00pm. 

Students can get their applications from their advisory teachers. 

Back to School Night, Sept. 17

The evening will start in the auditorium with a general overview from Mr. Peledge. Families can then rotate about as needed to various whole grade level presentations in respective hubs along with individual classroom exploration and conversation. 

Dining staff will also be on hand for families to try samples of some of our delicious school meals! 

6:00-6:20: Mr. Peledge intro with families in auditorium

6:25-6:45: Gr. 5 (including essentialists) and Grade 7 team presentations; individual classroom time for grade 6, grade 8, and world language

6:50-7:10: Grade 6 (with World Language) and Grade 8 team presentations; grade 5 and essentialists time in individual classrooms

7:10-7:30: Gr. 7 and Gr. 8 overnight trip presentations to families

6-8 STARR teacher will be floating to connect with families in different grades.

WELCOME BACK!

We are looking forward to seeing all of your students for breakfast & lunch in just a few short weeks! As we prepare for the new school year, please review the following important information regarding school meals, meal accounts, applications, and meal modifications.

Menus - Menus will be posted before the start of school. Once they are active, you will be able to access them HERE.  Please remember that menus are subject to change.

MySchoolBucks - MySchoolBucks will be active beginning August 23, 2026. Once the system is active, you will be able to add money to your student’s meal account.

Free & Reduced-Price Meal Applications - Attached is the SY27 Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application. Families may submit a paper application or apply online HERE.  

Sharing Your Student’s Eligibility Status - If you would like your student’s Free & Reduced-Price Meal eligibility status to be shared, upon your request, with school principals for qualifying school programs (such as bussing, school pictures, etc.) or with Parks & Recreation, you will need to complete the attached sharing form.

Meal Modifications - If your student requires a substitution or modification to school meals due to a medical condition or food allergy, a medical professional must complete the required form and return it to:

For example, if your student has a documented celiac disease diagnosis and requires gluten-free meals, the medical statement must be completed by a recognized medical authority.

If we do not receive a completed medical statement from a recognized medical professional, your student will receive the regular school meal. Medical statements completed by parents or guardians will not be accepted.

Fall 2026

Season Starts Sept. 15

Field Hockey opens at Carlisle, Sep. 15

Boys Soccer opens at home v. Lexington Diamond on Sep. 17 while girls soccer is at Lexington Diamond on the 17th. 

Cross Country opens at Concord on the 17th.

Fall Drama Program

Fall Play - Nov 18-20, 2026

The Hound of the Baskervilles

This year's Lincoln School fall play will be The Hound of the Baskervilles: A Comic Thriller Starring Shirley Holmes and Jennie Watson.  

Please note that stage crew signups will occur later in the fall.

Rehearsals will be held Monday-Thursday after school, with one Sunday rehearsal and one Friday performance. Performances will be November 18th, 19th, and 20th.

Grade 8 Updates

What's Happening in Grade 8

Gr. 8 Spring Trip 2027 Family Meeting, Sept. 17, Time 7:10pm

We’re going to Washington, D.C. in June 2027, and we’d love for your incoming gr. 8 student to join us!

Our informational meeting will be September 17, 7:10pm in the grade 8 hub. This will be after the primary Back to School Night activities occur.

Help Out Our Green Team

Want to help at school? Join us as a compost helper! Guide students as they sort their lunch items—volunteer weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Check out our updated training deck, complete a CORI in the main office, and sign up via our Google calendar. Questions? Contact Green Team members Gwen Blumberg (School Librarian), Nicole McDonaugh, (Kindergarten Teacher), or our parent and community volunteers: Emily Hasslet, Candace Pearson, or Lauren Wirth. We'd love to have you!

Middlesex 4-H Fife and Drum Corps

Recently, the corps had several members age out and head off to college. So, we were hoping to recruit more members, particularly fifers and bass drummers.  

Our youth-led 4-H group was formed by a Concord resident in 1972 to pass on New England’s fife and drum tradition. We provide music lessons at our weekly Sunday afternoon rehearsals in Lincoln. We are happy to welcome anyone, including those who do not yet play an instrument. Joining the group is open to all youth and costs just $40 per year, lessons included.

The Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) has created a new website specifically for families to help understand and embrace the nuanced middle years. So whether your middle schooler is the first you’ve had or the 2nd, or 3rd, etc, this website has great resources to help you and your middle level child navigate these years productively.
