Field Hockey Returns to Lincoln

Are you looking for a fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented sport for your student this season? Look no further! The Lincoln Middle School Co-ed Field Hockey team is gearing up for a fantastic season, and we want YOUR student to join us on the field.
Whether your child is a seasoned player or has never picked up a stick before, our co-ed team is the perfect place to build athletic skills, make great friends, and show some school pride.
Here is everything you need to know about our upcoming season:

Practice Schedule
Consistency is key, but we also want to make sure our student-athletes have time to balance their schoolwork. For our Boston residents there will continue to be late buses on practice days with the exception of Fridays.
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays: 3:10 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Wednesdays: No practice
  • Fridays as needed

Game Schedule & Transportation
While we are currently finalizing the official game schedule, please plan for games to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Games will typically wrap up around 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Please note that each family will need to arrange their athlete's transportation home from the school after games. If you are unable to pick up your student directly, organizing a carpool is a fantastic option that has worked very well for our athletic families in the past. We highly encourage teaming up with other parents!

Equipment Breakdown
To make sure everyone is safe and ready for game day, here is a quick guide on what the school will provide and what players need to bring. (Note: If you already have your own sticks or gear, you are more than welcome to bring them!)

What the School Provides:
  • Field hockey sticks
  • Single-person mouth guards (Note: If your athlete has braces or requires a specialized mouth guard, families will need to provide it)
  • Team uniforms

What Families Need to Provide:
  • Field hockey goggles (must be sold as field hockey goggles)
  • Field hockey shin pads (soccer ones may be used but sometimes they do not protect the entire lower leg and ankle)
  • Black shorts
  • White socks (for away games)
  • Red or black socks (for home games)
  • Optional: Soccer cleats (highly recommended for traction, but not required)

If any of this is a financial hardship please contact the Lincoln Middle School office and we will make arrangements so that your athlete has the equipment they need to play.
We are incredibly excited about the upcoming season and can't wait to see you on the field. If your student is ready to run, pass, and score with us this year, please contact amclaughlin@lincnet.org  to register.
If you have any questions about the schedule, equipment, or the sport itself, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Let's have a great season!

Warmly,
Coach Tara Price & Coach Karena Hansen Middle School Co-ed Field Hockey Coaches

Fall Drama Program

Fall Play - Nov 2026

The Hound of the Baskervilles

This year's Lincoln School fall play will be The Hound of the Baskervilles: A Comic Thriller Starring Shirley Holmes and Jennie Watson.  Auditions will be held the first Wednesday of school, September 2nd, and the following Tuesday, September 8th. Auditions are open to students in grades 6-8, and everyone who auditions is cast in the show. Please note that stage crew signups will occur later in the fall.

Rehearsals will be held Monday-Thursday after school, with one Sunday rehearsal and one Friday performance. If your child can regularly attend at least one day a week, it is possible to participate (those participating in a fall school sport would need to be able to attend Wednesday rehearsals). Performances will be November 18th, 19th, and 20th.

Detailed information, dates, permission, and medical forms may be found here (insert link).
All forms must be submitted prior to auditions.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Kristin Hall khall@lincnet.org

Sudbury Fall Flag Football

This fall for the 17th year, Sudbury Flag Football League will be running an organized flag football program in Sudbury.  This is a non-contact contact version of football where young players can develop their passing, catching and defending skills.

The SFFL Is for BOTH Boys & Girls. The games will be played by the Official National Flag Football rules.

Each player who is placed on a team will receive an NFL replica jersey with NFL team colors with matching shorts and a flag belt and flags.

Registration for Sudbury Fall Flag Football League is open and we currently accepting applications for its 2026 Spring league for children who are currently grades K through 9.

Games will be played on Sundays. There will be 8 regular season games plus play-off games. The majority of games will be played on the field turf.

If you are interested in having your child join the League, visit our website to register
at www.sudburyflagfootball.com or email Sudburyflagfootballleague@gmail.com.

We have a limited number of spots available. The first proposed date of the league is Sunday 9/13. The drop-dead date for registration is Friday 9/3. Please do not wait till the last minute because once we hit capacity, we will NOT be able to add any
new players. Unfortunately, last year we had to turn some players away.
