Family/Caregiver Survey -- Today's the Last Day!!

Lincoln Public Schools Parents and Caregivers,

Each year we invite families and students to complete feedback surveys about their experiences in the Lincoln Public Schools. These surveys provide valuable feedback that directly informs our short and long-term planning and decision-making.

All of our students in grades PK-8 will participate in the annual student surveys over the coming weeks. In grades 3-8 students complete surveys online. The surveys are completely confidential and conducted through a third-party educational survey company.

Each year, we also invite families and caregivers to provide feedback through an anonymous survey. The family surveys are now open and we invite everyone to respond by clicking the link below for your child’s school. If you have children in multiple schools, you are welcome to submit either a single response that captures your general experience in our schools, or you may complete a response for each school where your children attend:

We encourage you to respond today, but the surveys will be open through Friday, May 22nd.

Pride Spirit Day and Town Pride Event

During the day, students are welcome to join in Pride Spirit Day to support our LGBTQ+ community. Students in SAGA and their allies will walk after school together to the Town Pride Event being held by the Common starting at 1:00pm. All are welcome.

h Why Your Miles Matter
This year, we are proud to race in support of Friends of the Children-Boston.
In a world where many children face systemic obstacles, "Friends" provides something revolutionary: a professional mentor for 12 years, no matter what. By registering, you are helping to provide a child with a consistent mentor who stays by their side from kindergarten through high school graduation.
Your $30 registration fee isn't just a ticket to a race; it’s an investment in a child’s future, providing the stability and long-term support they need to overcome hurdles and reach their full potential. Be a part of the change for kids in need!
The Course (3.1 Miles)
Experience the beauty of Lincoln with our scenic route:

  2. The Turn: Turn right onto Lexington Road for a steady 0.75-mile stretch.
  3. The Climb: Turn right onto Trapelo Road (Mile 1.0) and conquer the hill toward the 5-Points Intersection.
  4. The Landmark: Hang a left on Lincoln Road, passing the Pierce House and Town Offices on your left.
  5. The Turnaround: Cross at the Old Post Office, continue toward Lincoln School, and turn down the driveway at 41 Lincoln Road (Mile 1.6), completing the round-about to head back the way you came!

Green Team Needs You

Dear Lincoln School Composting Volunteers,

As we look ahead to the end year, we are in dire need of volunteers and would be delighted to see you again– or to have you help spread the word about this important work we are doing in our school with others who might also be interested in volunteering.

If you'd like to spend time with your child as you volunteer, your child is welcome to join you at the compost table if they would like to pull up a chair and eat their lunch with you, don a pair of composting gloves, or use the coveted composting tongs!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or suggestions. Thank you again for your invaluable support!

Most sincerely,
Gwen & Nicole

L-S Sports Message from L-S Athletic Director

Hello Rising 9th Grade Families,

My name is Dan Lee and I'm the Director of Athletics at Lincoln-Sudbury. We are excited to meet your students next year at the high school and wanted to share some information regarding participation in athletics at LS.

 (More Details to Come)

New Registration Platform: Aspen Integration
We are excited to announce that we are upgrading our athletic registration process. This year, we are integrating sports registration directly into Aspen, the school's internal student information software. This transition aims to streamline communication and record-keeping for families and the athletic department.

Interim Registration for Fall Sports (9th Graders Only)
Because incoming 9th Graders will not have full access to Aspen until the school year officially "rolls over" in August, we have created an interim solution to ensure our Fall coaches can begin their preparations.
We are asking all incoming 9th graders interested in playing a Fall Sport to complete the following Google Form:
Through this form, students can:
  1. Record their interest in a specific Fall Sport.
  2. Upload a current sports physical (required for participation).
We have made every effort to minimize the duplication of work during this transition. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through any "bumps in the road" while rolling out this new initiative.

Rising 9th Grade Athletic Fair

We are going to be hosting a Rising 9th Grade Athletic Fair on June 8th from 6-7PM at LS. All of our teams across all seasons will have a table set up in the gyms. Students/parents can walk around and learn more about team's from coaches and athletes, hear program expectations and get information on the upcoming seasons.

We look forward to seeing you in June!

Go Warriors!
Mr. Lee

New Lincoln Sports Academy

Join Lincoln Sports Academy for its inaugural year - what we expect to be the highlight of the summer! This special week builds on the traditions so many have come to love: friendly, competitive games like soccer, capture the flag, football, gatorball (and more!), relaxing lunches at the pool, and a weeklong, camp-wide tournament that brings everyone together, win or lose. It's EPIC!

We’re also excited to introduce new games and traditions that will make this experience even more memorable!

Camp is sponsored by Lincoln Parks & Recreation and led by Lincoln residents Bryan Doo and Kurt MacLaurin. Bryan’s company, Optimal Fitness, will operate the camp, bringing over 25 years of experience to our town. The camp will run rain or shine, with activities held on Codman Field and also in the Reed Gym.

Resources for Families

Tailored for Caregivers

SUN Bucks

SUN Bucks, the federal food benefit program once known as Summer EBT, is returning for summer 2026. SUN Bucks provides a $120 lump-sum summer benefit per school-aged child for income-eligible families. The program is administered by the state Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) in partnership with DESE and with assistance from schools.

SUN Bucks income eligibility standards are the same as those for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). As such, all enrolled students identified as meeting the income eligibility standards for free or reduced-price lunch during school year 2025-26, either through an NSLP household paper application or direct certification, are automatically eligible for SUN Bucks. Students identified as homeless, migrant, runaway or participating in Head Start are also automatically eligible. Students who do not meet the aforementioned criteria can apply for SUN Bucks benefits through DTA by visiting www.DTAConnect.com.
