Transcript of the video

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

It was wonderful to see so many of you this past Wednesday at this year’s 41st annual HOPA race.  Although the day was a little damp this did not deter our runners in grades 5-8 or our students in K-4 who came outside to cheer on all of the runners.  We appreciate all of the adult runners and family members who participated and we hope that you enjoyed the event as well.

Our students in Grades 5 and 8 completed the MCAS Science, Technology and Engineering test this week. Next week our 8th grade students take the Civics portion of the MCAS. Once they have completed those sessions that will conclude this year’s MCAS testing.  I am proud of our students for their focus and hard work throughout the testing window and thankful for the high level teaching that our faculty and staff have been providing all year long.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday.

Warm regards,
Mr. Ledebuhr

LPS Family Feedback Survey - Now Open!

Lincoln Public Schools Parents and Caregivers,

Each year, we invite families and students to complete feedback surveys about their experiences in the Lincoln Public Schools. These surveys provide valuable feedback that directly informs our short and long-term planning and decision-making.

All of our students in grades PK-8 will participate in the annual LPS student surveys over the coming weeks. In preschool, students complete the survey in a 1:1 interview, in grades K-2 students respond on paper, and in grades 3-8 students complete surveys online. The surveys are completely confidential and conducted through a third-party educational survey company.

Each year, we also invite families and caregivers to provide feedback through an anonymous survey. The family surveys are open now and we invite everyone to respond by clicking the link below for your child’s school. If you have children in multiple schools, you are welcome to submit either a single response that captures your general experience in our schools, or if you prefer you may complete a response for each school where your children attend:

We encourage you to respond today, but the surveys will be open through Friday, May 22nd

HOPA Race

Thank you all for your participation and support of the 41st annual HOPA race! We didn’t have the best weather but everyone pushed through. There were lots of smiles before, during, and after the race. The PreK through 4th grade made up an excellent cheering section and really helped the runners finish strong. The student coming in first this year was Rockwell “Rocky” Sindelar with a blazing time of 19:00 minutes!!! Looking forward to the 42nd annual next year!

Thanks again,

Mr. Cassidy and the Wellness team
