A Message from the Principal

Dear K-4 Families,

A massive round of applause is in order for our incredible PTO! Last week’s Bingo Night was a tremendous success, bringing our community together for an evening of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition.

Thanks to your support and participation, the event raised a grand total of $3,600! These funds are already earmarked for enrichment programs, ensuring our students have access to unique learning opportunities, guest speakers, and extracurricular resources that truly enrich students' school experience.

We want to extend a special note of gratitude to Diana Jong and the crew of volunteers who oversaw the number calling, prizes, refreshments, and raffles—and, of course, everyone who came out to play!

Today we had a high-energy community meeting! Ms. O'Sullivan, Ms. Laughlin, and Ms. Curry helped us celebrate birthdays, the coin drive and kindness, and even surprised us with Super Bowl Trivia and an exciting new game - The Fox!

The Kindness Challenge was a week of noticing kind words and actions and writing them on a kindness heart. Some of the shoutouts were for waiting patiently, helping with clean up, showing integrity during a class game, sitting together, giving up a turn for a friend, and cheering on classmates for making the right choice. It is beautiful to see all of the hearts on the birch trees, and even more beautiful to see and feel the kindness in our community!

The 4th Grade Student Council Coin Drive has come to a close and we are making a donation of $414.48 to the World Wildlife Fund!

A silly fox danced across the stage as we learned about a new game called THE MASKED READER! Classes will receive a video of a Lincoln School staff member reading a book while wearing a Lincoln Fox mask! Classes will work to figure out Masked Reader is before the next Community Meeting!

If our Super Bowl trivia was correct, over 1 billion chicken wings will be eaten this weekend! Wishing all the football fans, wing enthusiasts, and half-time aficionados a fun weekend!

Sincerely,
Sarah

Guess the Staff Member

Ask your child if they remember which staff member a) loves to swim at Lake Winnipesaukee (Mrs. Moeller), b) read 85 books in 2025 (Mrs. Voghel), or c) has done yoga every day for the last 5 years (Ms. Carchia)!

Does Your Hustle Match Your Game?

The Lincoln METCO Coordinating Committee
and The First Parish in Lincoln welcome Boston and Lincoln resident students and
families and all concerned with today’s challenges to a special presentation!

Click here to see the flyer: Does Your Hustle Match Your Game?

Ray Anthony Shepard, an award-winning biographer and former history educator, will lead a discussion on navigating today’s complex social and political landscape. Transitioning from a career in textbooks to telling authentic Black stories, Shepard addresses the "social-political-racial justice recession" and offers strategies for students to prepare for future challenges.
His talk focuses on three essential pillars of literacy:
  • AI Literacy: Navigating a world driven by artificial intelligence.
  • Contextual Literacy: Understanding and persisting in an anti-DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) environment.
  • Self-Literacy: Developing a strong sense of self-identity within this new era.
The session includes a Q&A segment, and quiet activities will be provided for young children
