Gr. 5 Report Cards Coming Home Wednesday, Feb. 4

We are changing our report card practice. Instead of being mailed home, we are going to be sending a copy of each student's report card home with them on Wednesday in an envelope that will ask for a caregiver signature. Famlies keep the report card; students return the signed envelope.

For students who have a caregiver that lives in another home, we will continue our practice of mailing them a copy as well as the one sent home with the student.

We hope this speeds up the process of families having access to student's grades and can trigger conversations about learning sooner.

Spring Musical Needs Your Help

The theater program is looking for a volunteer to take charge of makeup for SpongeBob. Amanda Sykes is stepping down, having filled this role for 9 years! Huge thanks to Amanda for her years of eye liner, hairspray, and creativity.

If you are interested (9-year commitment not required), please email Kristin Hall (khall@lincnet.org). Generally this just involves just a little bit of planning, then supervising the makeup room (with student crew and adult volunteers) for the four performances (Wed. matinee on 3/11, evening shows on 3/12, 3/13, and Saturday 3/14). Even if you cannot commit to all 4 shows, please reach out if you are interested. It could also be done with a 2-person team.

Kudos to Ms. Nixon

Ms. Monika Nixon, the executive assistant to the principals, will be moving on from Lincoln School as of Feb. 24. She has accepted a position as a METCO Coordinator just next door in Sudbury. We know her passion working directly with children will suit her well in this new position. We thank her for her service to Lincoln School, including as our Student Council advisor the last two years, and we wish her well!

Community Event: "Screening of Between Two Worlds"

Join us for a special screening of Between Two Worlds

— an inspiring film that shares the voices of South Sudanese children shaped by the courage of their immigrant mothers. At a time when so many stories focus on crisis, this one reminds us of humanity’s quiet strength — and the joy that comes from perseverance and connection. Come be moved, uplifted, and inspired to see the world — and your own family’s story — in a new light.
