Seven opt-in email lists have been set up to allow efficient and timely distribution of news and notices. The lists are used for one-way broadcasting of information from school district personnel to the people who have subscribed to the list. You are not able to send your own messages out to the list members. The lists are:

• DistrictNews
  Used by the central office team to send out notices and information that are of interest to the Lincoln and Hanscom School communities, including snow closings and important updates to this web site.

• School News
  Used by the principals to communicate news and information about school programs for each parent community.

  • Linc5to8News (Lincoln School Grades 5 to 8 News)
  • HPSNews (Hanscom Primary School News-- Grades K to 3)
  • HMSNews (Hanscom Middle School News-- Grades 4 to 8)
  • PreschoolNews (Lincoln School District Preschool Program News)

• SCNews (School Committee News)
  Used by the School Committee to send out information such as meeting dates, changes in the date or time of meetings,agenda information, and notification when new information is posted on the School Committee web pages.

In general, you can add your email address to any of the lists by sending an email message to a specific address.

Once you have done this, you will receive an automated response from our system sent to the email address you supplied. This message will ask you to confirm that you indeed intended to sign up for that list. This is done to make sure that someone is not attempting to add you to the list without your knowlege or consent. If you do want to be added to the list, you merely hit the reply button for this message.

Finally, you will receive another automated response that confirms that you have now been added to the list, and will receive future messages sent out to that list.

You may remove yourself from the list(s) at any time. Every message sent to the list will contain the instructions for unsubscribing.
