Volunteer to maintain the School Committee web site

The Lincoln School Committee is looking for someone to volunteer to maintain its web pages. For the past 3 years, the Committee has been posting the agendas and minutes of its public meetings on the web site. In addition, information about annual goals, work plans, status, budgets, and policies has been made available on these web pages, as well as announcements of special events related to the business of the Committee.

The duties require someone with beginner-level (but not intermediate or advanced) skills in HTML/web page authoring who can spend an average of 1 hour per week maintaining the web pages. There is no need to attend any meetings, and the tasks can all be completed via email and internet file transfers. Beyond the basic HTML skills, the volunteer needs to be able to commit to promptly posting new information during the school year, within a day or two of its availability. It is also important that the individual be committed to preserving the integrity of the information on the web pages by only posting information authorized by the Committee.

This is a good way to put your skills to use while supporting the operation of our school system with a modest time commitment. If you are interested, please contact Julie Dobrow, Chair, at 781-259-1220 or send an email to schoolcomm@lincnet.org.
