HEALTH

The Lincoln Public Schools provides health education in a variety of ways across the K-8 grades. In some instances there are specific classes and at other times instruction in included as part of other classes (e.g. Physical Education, Science). The district is in the process of creating a curriculum map that accurately shows the specific content and the grades in which it is taught. An overview of the health topics addressed in grades 6-8 is shown below. We intend soon to publish an overview for all grades and begin work on identifying the learning expectations for each of these units. This work is informed by the standards found in the Massachusetts Comprehensive Health Curriculum Framework
