8th Grade Important Events

Athletic Fair at LSRHS June 10
  • Hello Rising 9th Grade Families,
     
    My name is Dan Lee and I'm the Director of Athletics at Lincoln-Sudbury.  We are excited to meet your students next year at the high school and wanted to share some information regarding participation in athletics at LS.  
     
    Fall Sports start prior to the first day of school
     
    You can register for Fall Sports on Arbiter Sports (Formerly FamilyID) at the link below
     
    You will need to create an account and register your athlete.  You will also need to upload a Doctor's Physical, dated within 13 months of the start date for tryouts/practice.
     
    Here are the sports offered in the fall and their start dates.
     
    • Cheer   (Tryouts June 3rd / Season Starts in August)
    • Football  (August 16th)
    • Field Hockey   (Week of August 19th)
    • Golf   (Week of August 19th)
    • Boys Soccer   (Week of August 19th)
    • Girls Soccer   (Week of August 19th)
    • Girls Volleyball   (Week of August 19th)
    • Cross Country   (Week of August 19th)
    We will have a formal Athletic Information Night, the week of August 19th
     (More Details to Come) 
     
    We are going to be hosting a Rising 9th Grade Athletic Fair on June 10th from 6-7PM at LS.  All of our teams across all seasons will have a table set up in the gyms. Students/parents can walk around and learn more about team's from coaches and athletes, hear program expectations and get information on the upcoming seasons.

    Curriculum Night for the Class of 2028 parents/caregivers at LS

    10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

    Student Services Open House at LS Lecture Hall (all welcome, and particularly for families of 8th grade students on IEPs or 504 plans)

    9th grade course requests due from 8th grade students

    Course requests and recommendations emailed to 8th grade parents/caregivers

    Accelerated Earth Science Placement Exam at Lincoln School

    LS Peer Leaders meet with 8th graders for Q & A at Lincoln School

    Lincoln School 8th graders visit LS (date dependent on snow days)
