Nightly Homework Policy
- Nightly homework which is turned in at the beginning of the class
- period will receive full credit.
- Nightly homework which is turned in by 3:30 the following day will
- receive partial credit.
- Nightly homework which is turned in after 3:30 on the second day late
- will receive no credit, but still needs to be done so that the content is
- learned/practiced and student is prepared for assessments that may be
- based on these assignments.
Long Term Projects
- Three points will be deducted from long-term project grades for each
- day they are late.
Homework Coupons
- Three non-cumulative coupons will be given out for each class per term.
- The coupons provide a two-day extension of a nightly homework
- assignment.
- For every coupon NOT used, 1 point will be added to the homework
- portion of the trimester grade for that subject.
Make-Up Test (Retakes)
Teachers will inform students as to which tests/quizzes will have make-ups
available. Most tests/quizzes MAY NOT be made up. It is important to
study for all tests/quizzes.
- Students will be given at least one-week notice for Tests.
- The make-up test/quiz will be given within two weeks.
- If the original test/quiz is given back, be sure to study the material
- and not the pattern of the answers as the make-up test will be altered.
- Some teachers may require attendance at a "study session" or other
- proof of having restudied.
- If the student wishes to take advantage of a retake, he/she must make
- arrangements with the teacher.
Other Policies
- No written homework is to be done during homeroom.
- Students are responsible for doing their own work unless a group
- project has been assigned.
- Students are required to write their full name, section, and date on
- all papers.
