Wellness is an integral part of a child’s educational experience. During their time in wellness students will learn about the importance of physical fitness and healthy habits. Together these make up an individuals personal wellness. The skills that are being taught are skills that can lead to lifelong personal wellness. During the physical education portion of class, students will learn a variety of skills including: locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative. During the health portion of class a number of important topics will be discussed including: safety, bullying, nutrition, body systems, and growth and development.
