The school budget for the Lincoln Public Schools is comprised of several funding sources and is structured in order to provide the resources necessary to offer a high-quality public education for the students who attend our schools. Revenue sources include the appropriation from the Town of Lincoln, which is approved by the Annual Town Meeting each spring, a contract with the Federal Government for the operation of the schools at Hanscom Air Force Base, state and federal grants, revolving funds such as rental fees, transportation fees and athletic fees.

The budget process is a public discussion which begins with the presentation of a Proposed Budget from the Administration for School Committee consideration in October. A series of public discussions will follow at regularly scheduled School Committee meetings, special budget sessions and public presentations.
