Welcome to the Lincoln School Mental Health Team Web Page. This page is created in the hopes that teachers, parents, guardians, and their children can find practical information related to mental health issues that are both useful and enlightening. Our goal is to help children adjust and adapt to the school environment so that they can feel safe, secure, and ready to learn. It is important that all students feel that they are vital members of our school community and we strive to find ways for all children to have a sense of belonging.
Counseling services are provided for grades Preschool through grade 8. The Mental Health Team offers counseling services that focus on a variety of challenges such as: school adjustment, social/emotional, academic, anxiety, friendship, behavioral, and peer relationship issues. We use a wide range of therapeutic techniques in our work with children and families, and work closely with them and the school staff to address the needs of each individual child.
